Physical manifestations can accompany anger and fear. Some
indicators are the contraction of the muscles in the neck and back, causing headaches,
migraine, digestive problems, acid reflux and irritable bowel, fibromyalgia symptoms (with specific pain), sleep
disorders and teeth grinding. Most attending physicians have a 3-5 minute attention
allocation time for the patient, and therefore cannot access the base cause
or address anything other than attempt to apply symptomatic relief. Although some may term these as psychosomatic, these
issues are real, and for some can be debilitating. Fibromyalgia
is generally treated with anti-depressants, simply for this reason.
Fortunately, progress is more swift, as the actual
base can be identified and resolved more comfortably. The process of Emotional ReframingSM
assists in resolving what is generally viewed as issues of a medical and drug
oriented prescription basis, where the discomfort is merely anger and fear,
established and experienced without human language. Associational Sorting is the process of learning. The
comparison of emotions, what feels similar is sorted, compared and becomes
the focus of attention. Breaking this behavior, with emotional reframing is
the process and goal. |

One
gentleman, exiting Drug, Alcohol Dual Diagnosis Treatment said: “I will never
allow anyone to take my joy from me, again”.
This after some hours of Emotional Reframing of his failed marriage
leading to divorce and alcohol abuse. As with all
outcomes, this is dependent on you. How soon would you like to move forward,
leaving the past behind? Significant progress can
be possible, in the first appointment. Clients words: After some traumatic experiences in my childhood, facing a
divorce and the challenges involved in single parenthood, I was physically
and mentally exhausted. Although my Dad didn't know all the gory
details, he sensed that I needed something. He had read in the paper
about free hypnotherapy sessions during the Christmas holiday and suggested I
try it out. Since I had never done anything like it, I didn't quite
know what to expect. I had seen "stage hypnotism" and was a
little intimidated that I might make a fool of myself. Many people
have negative thoughts associated with the process and even believe that
something so easy couldn't actually help. Some people think
you are fully asleep and therefore wouldn't be in control. I put all the
negatives aside and decided to go for it, I was determined to heal! The Hypnotherapist put my mind at ease immediately by
explaining exactly what would happen before we began. What I learned
about dealing with life's stresses is that the more you discuss it with a
therapist, counselor, friend, etc. or think about these traumatic events, the bigger and uglier
they become for you. That is why people have a wide array of
symptoms (for me it was sadness, using my teeth to clamp down on the inside
of my mouth and not sleeping through the night any longer) for others, it can be as drastic as irritable
bowel syndrome or Fibromyalgia
or even worse. What hypnotherapy has done is allowed me to
no longer dwell on the negative. The process is actually fun and relaxing.
You are aware of everything happening around you, you are not asleep at all, you are in a state similar to that relaxation you
feel just before you actually fall asleep. It is really quite
cool! I have always heard background sounds or felt the tears coming
down during a session, that's how I know I have been in control. It has
been me making life-changing choices, it has been me
coming to terms with the ugly parts of my life facilitated by a
caring individual who just happens to be witnessing the healing for himself! The last time I returned home from a session, my daughter
told me I looked younger! The relief is everlasting. I feel so
much better inside and out. I sleep much better, no longer clamp
down on the side of my mouth, and I no longer have unexplainable aches and
pains and, most importantly, am a much happier person (and that's not just my
opinion) . There are times when I feel life getting to me, when that
happens, I use one of the techniques the Hypnotherapist has taught me.
For example, if I wake during the middle of the night, I envision myself
walking down a flight of 100 steps, getting slightly relaxed with each
step. By the time I get to the bottom of my imagined
staircase, I know exactly what is bothering me and exactly who I need to
"speak" with about it (sometimes it's me!) We have this
"conversation" and then I drift off in to slumber.
Sometimes I go back to sleep before I get to the bottom step, which
is good too. Paul has taught me many techniques that I can use for the
rest of my life. I feel rejuvenated, hopeful for the future
and a major sense of healing. This has happened without
over-the-counter or prescription drugs and without a never-ending Doctor's
invoice. Life is good because I made the
choice to live a life of joy, because I have decided to be in control of my
healing and because something so easy really can work. (name withheld by request) Practice without diagnosis or prescription credential, in
compliance with California SB-577 Medical Adjunct Service TIME IS IMPORTANT: COSC POSTER |

Depression and Grief Seminar
Comments: Abreaction, Desensitization and Emotional ReframingSM Many of the participants said the Techniques Presented and
Skills Taught will be used with EVERYONE they work with. MFT / PhD commented “I seen it happen here”. In response
to reducing the time to resolve Depression and Grief. One of the participants said, “All of it” when asked,
which part of the program was of most value to you? What objective was achieved for this class? “Having tools
to work with people in crisis” After the class, one participant noted, “Many issues can
be addressed in a limited amount of time”. "Recommends the Course Work to anyone in the Health
related fields." Good balance of Instruction and participation. "Class work provided more confidence", said all
participants. "Listening, learning and watching (the practical
applications) facilitated understanding", said another participant. One participant noted their new shift regarding depression
and grief is “CHOICE”. That is the individual, through this process has a
choice to remain in grief or move out of it. “Absolutely!” Comment made after being asked, “Do you feel
Grief and Depression can be addressed more quickly?” A practicing MFT with over 20 years
licensed experience said. “Will introduce Abreaction, Desensitization and
Emotional Reframing to most of my clients.” |
